  Absolute COWBOYS. A year ago I had what supposed to have been a recon gearbox in my motorhome. On the initial phone call I was told it would be an exchange with a recon box so down to Romford I went from Coventry (couple of hundred miles round trip) got it back a week later & 1300 quid lighter, got under it the following day to replace a water pump belt & found 2 bloody big holes cutting into each other in the bell housing. They said they had to drill into it because it had the wrong shaft for the vehicle even though it only had 52k on the clock when I bought it with no mention of gearbox problems in the service history & when i reminded him that the gearbox was a recon exchange he said it was my old one that they rebuilt, (little bit of b.s. starting to smell here) A week later could not select fifth gear so another couple of hundred miles round trip & insisting that the holes in the bell housing was repaired properly as he was going to plug it with a rubber bung. Picked it up a week later & was informed that the reason for the fifth gear selection problem was because they had put a wrong part in it. At no time was there one word of apology for the inconvenience but instead judging by is attitude i think he thought it was him that was being inconvenienced. A few months later the syncro between 2 & 3 went (still under warranty but i'd rather double the clutch & live with it than take it back to these cowboys. AVOID AT ALL COST.
